How To Eat Healthier!

Do you wish that you could lose weight, feel more energized, and even sleep better?
Well did you know that what you eat can help you feel all of those things and lose weight?

Read this list below (or even print it out) to help you start to eat right, feel better, AND lose weight!

Grains- eat 5-6 ounces a day

  • 1 oz. equals
  •  1/2 cup cooked cereal or 1/2 cup cooked rice or pasta or 1 small biscuit or muffin or 1 slice bread or 1 roll or 7 crackers or 1 pancake or 1 flour or corn tortilla

Vegetables- eat 21/2 cups a day
  • 2 cups equals raw leafy vegetable
  • Use tons of colors!
Fruits- 11/2 – 2 cups a day
  • 1 cup equals 1 cup fruit or 100% fruit juice or 1/2 cup dried fruit
Milk/Dairy- 3 cups a day
  • 1 cup equals 1 cup yogurt or 2 cups cottage cheese
Meat/Beans- 5-6 ounces
  • 1 ounces equals 1 egg or 1/4 cup cooked dry beans/peas
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Eat foods from these food groups and you’ll not only be more likely to lose weight but you’ll find yourself more energized to get through the day without using candy bars or energy bars to make it through.
Also, try to eat sugars & sweets lightly. Don’t make eating candy, pies, cookies, etc. a daily habit.
