School is just around the corner, which means it’s time for some shopping! Don’t know what to buy? Well here’s a general list of school supplies that you can print off and take with you.
(Many stores like Walmart or Target have school supplies list for the particular schools that your child attends but if they do not, here’s a list)

The Basics (Pretty much every grade needs these)

Fiskars Scissors 5″ Blunt
Ballpoint pens
No. 2 pencils
Colored pencils
A pencil sharpener (with a top to collect the shavings)
Large pink eraser
Water based/washable markers
Elmer’s School Glue 4oz
A three ring binder
Spiral-bound or composition notebook
Loose-leaf notebook papers
Pocket folders
Printer paper and ink cartridges (this is for you at home, for those projects, etc.)
A ruler with English and metric measurements
Scotch tape
A stapler
A supportive backback (be sure to get their names on their backpacks as well-whether in permanent marker or monogrammed)

Extras for elementary school students
A box of crayons (16 pack for younger kids)
Watercolor paints
Drawing paper
Construction paper
Puffs Brand Tissue
8 oz. Germ-X Hand Sanitizer
Can of Lysol
Clorox Wipes
1 Box of Band-Aids

Extras for middle school students
A calendar for scheduling assignments
Two combination locks (one for the hallway and one for the gym)

Several three ring binders
Folders that fit in binders
An assignment notebook
A pencil case that can fit in binders
Red-ink pens (for peer editing)
Index cards, ruled and unruled
A calculator (check with the math teacher first before investing in an expensive calculator. Graphing calculators, for example, are required in some middle school math classes. Teachers warn against getting a calculator that has more features than they will use-just imagine how overwhelming that can get in an already difficult class.)
1 flash drive min. 256 MB
1 package of graphing paper
Dry erase markers
Roll of paper towels for art class
1 box of plastic forks
Personal Bible (if your child goes to a Christian private school)
