“All of us have insecurities…even the most outwardly confident people we know. Minor insecurities can be little more than occasional challenges, but when life suddenly erupts like a volcano, insecurity turns into panic. Want suddenly feels like need. A hidden pocket of unmet needs suddenly quakes and leaves a cavern. The fear or the feeling of being unloved is probably our greatest source of insecurity, whether or not we can always articulate it.”
– Beth Moore, Breaking Free from Spiritual Strongholds: Praying God’s Word
If you’re struggling with feeling unwanted, undesirable, unimportant, insignificant, and unloved…I encourage you to pray these Bible verses out loud. These verses have encouraged me when I felt unloved and unwanted and they have reminded me that I am ALWAYS loved and wanted by the Creator of the Universe-if not by anyone else. Knowing these things are important, so I hope this encourages you…
Lord God, help me to trust in Your unfailing love; cause my heart to rejoice in Your salvation. Help me to sing to You, Lord, for You have been good to me. Ps. 13:5-6
I call on You, O God, for You will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Show the wonder of Your great love, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Ps. 17:6-8
O God, help me to meditate on Your unfailing love! (Ps. 48:9) Help me not have the sin of unbelief after all You’ve done to tell You love me and demonstrate Your love for me.
Great is Your love toward me, O Lord. Your faithfulness endures forever. Praise You, Lord! Ps. 117:2
Thank you Lord, for always being good, a refuge in times of trouble. You care for those who trust in You. (Nah. 1:7)
Lord, according to Your Word, even when five sparrows were sold for two pennies, not one of them was forgotten by You. Indeed, the very hairs of my heard are all numbered. Help me never to be afraid; I am worth fare more to You than many sparrows. (Luke 12:6-7)
As I walk with You, Lord, You will not let my foot slip-You who watch over me will not slumber; indeed, You who watch over Your children will neither slumber nor sleep. You, the Lord, watch over me- You are my shade at my right hand; the sun will not harm me by day nor the moon by night. You, Lord God, will keep me from all harm-You will watch over my life; You will watch over my coming and going both now and forevermore. (Ps. 121:3-8)
O Lord, because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. (Ps. 63:7-8)
Lord God, I have the assurance of Your Word that You, the God of all grace, who called me to Your eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will Yourself restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10)
I call to You, God, and You save save me. Even if I cry out in distress evening, morning, and noon, You will never fail to hear my voice. (Ps. 55:16-17)
Lord, how I thank You for showing Your love to me by sending Your one and only Son into the world that I might live through Im. This is love: not that I loved you, but that You loved me and sent Your Son as an atoning sacrifice for my sins. (1 John 4:9-10).
When I said, “My foot is slipping,” Your love, O Lord, supported me! When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul! (Ps. 94:18-19).
