Fall Exercise Tips

So you’ve managed to stay in shape this summer and you want to stay on track but you want to try some new exercise routines?

Well try these 3 great creative exercises for the fall season!

1. Hiking Fall is GREAT for hiking because it’s not too hot and the leaves are changing and so if you go to a high enough mountain, you may be able to see the wonderful changes in the leaves! It’s beautiful! Plus hiking helps you lose a TON of calories depending on your weight, check out this hiking calories calculator to find out how much you can lose!
Also, be sure to do research before you go hiking so this way you know where you’re going & what you should take with you!

2. Youtube it! Youtube has tons of free exercise videos just for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home! If you’re worried about accountability, then why not create a gym group with your friends and agree to meet every week to have your free “youtube aerobics class!”

3. Locate Churches A lot of churches are offering either free or VERY low cost gym classes. Fun classes like Zumba, P90x and more! Google for church exercise classes in your town or if you can’t find one-CREATE one! You can find Zumba Instructors just by searching on their website (click here) and invite them to your church (after speaking to your pastor, of course) or even offer to host a class and just buy some fitness videos like Jillian Michael’s tapes or P90x

4. Create your own routine Create your own routine at home, do some crunches, jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, and leg lifts. Make your own routine and change it up so you’ll be more likely to do it! You can find fitness books at your local Barnes & Noble or used book store and they can help you find exercises that target the areas you want to really work on (like your core, your arms, legs, etc.)

The most important tip to remember is this “you get fit in the gym and you lose weight in the kitchen”. If you want to lose weight, watch your portions-that’s the easiest way to lose weight and keep the weight off!
