Overcoming Sexual Addictions

It’s hard to deal with sexual temptations and if you’re struggling with sexual addictions which can look very different according to each person, it can be very hard to find help…

Sexual addictions are not only for those who have no faith in Christ, many Christians also struggle with it and if you’re looking for help, please be sure to check out my latest episode on TMEC Radio where I talked with Lisa & Virna from By Beholding His Love ministries.

We discussed how you can get help and what sexual addictions may look like as well as where it can originate from…

Here are a few resources that I believe can be very helpful for people who are trying to understand sexual addictions and for those who are trying to get help for it….

If you are struggling with sexual addictions (pornography, premarital sex, multiple sexual partners, etc.) the first thing I have to recommend is that you ask for the Lord to direct you towards someone who can help you. A pastor, a counselor, or someone that you can trust to help you and keep you accountable…it is very hard and I know it is very scary to do but you can do it and it is the first step towards SERIOUSLY recovering.

I also want to remind you that no matter what you have done in the past and no matter what mistakes you make today or in the future, Jesus Christ STILL STRONGLY desires to be with you and He loves you TOO much to let this come in between you and Him. The Bible tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38) so don’t ever feel that your addictions no matter HOW terrible they may be are sooo terrible that God doesn’t want to be in your life and help you through it. Please reach for help by contacting hotlines or contacting someone you can speak to in your hometown (a counselor or pastor).
